18 Jul - Beginning the Day

Today we left Rochester and set a record. We were all on the bus and left on time (Yea!). We sang “The Spirit of God,” in preparation for our trip to the Kirtland Temple. Bill from Utah gave a spiritual thought to help us remember that a triangle will jog our memories of important 3’s in the Gospel. The first is the Father, the Son, and the Holy Ghost. Another comes from Adam and Eve—Obedience, Knowledge of Good and Evil, and Receiving a body. He referred to Elder Scott’s talk on the three ways of learning truth and the importance of truth to make right decisions.

John, our tour director, quoted Mark Twain, “There ain’t know surer way to find out whether you like people or hate them than to travel with them.

After about 1 1/2 hours of travel, we crossed over the Niagara Bridge, and paused at customs for a document check.
