Absolutely first rate! Members from one stake put on an amazing performance with an original script and music, entitled “This Is Kirtland.” We got to see how important Kirtland was in the beginning years of the church, how the faith of the members helped them through tough times, and how they sacrificed to build a temple to their God. Marge from Utah said this was better than the Hill Cumorah Pageant.
It was an incredibly spiritual performance, uplifting and inspiring, especially when the whole adult cast sang “He Lives,” beginning with Joseph and Sidney, then the brethren, and finally the sisters. Another memorable number was when the sisters sang about supporting each other and relying on the Lord while their husbands were away on missions. Overall, a beautiful end to the day.
Bill especially liked it when the announcer said, “Noisy children are like good intentions. They should be carried out!”
Darlene thought the pageants—Hill Cumorah and Kirtland—were so very beautiful.
