This was Joseph Smith’s final home. They added a hotel wing in 1843 and even gave up some bedrooms due to the number of visitors that came to see the prophet. The hotel wing is gone now, but we got to see a model of it. It was here that Joseph’s and Hyrum’s bodies lay in state for more than 10,000 mourners.
