23 Jul - King Follett Discourse in the Groves
One of the vignettes attended by some in our group was an actor portraying Joseph Smith (the same one from the pageant) and reciting from memory excerpts from the King Follett Discourse, originally given at the funeral of King Follett, a member of the community who died in an accident. This speech gives insights into the nature of God and the immortality of man. Katie from Idaho was impressed with the actor who portrayed the character of Joseph. He was truly inspiring in his ability to bring the spirit of the Prophet Joseph to life.
