Several of our group learned about caring for oxen and then took a ride on an ox-pulled wagon. See our Danish sisters here walking a pair of oxen. There is symbolism in the yoke the oxen wear. This device evenly distributes the load between the beasts. When we take Christ’s yoke upon us, He helps to bear the load. (See Matthew 11:28-30) We just need to be submissive enough to put our head in the yoke. It also symbolizes the sharing of the yoke of parenthood between mother and father.
