22-23 Jul - Seventies Hall

This was a small chapel for worship during the time the Saints lived in Nauvoo. There was a library on the upper floor, and now it is a museum with artifacts and a list of early Seventies. The hall was completed in 1844. In the dedicatory prayer, Brigham Young said, “…may it be filled with thy spirit that it may be called the gate of Heaven, and may all who enter within its doors be made to feel Thy love and power.”
