This is the home of the famous gun maker, John Browning, who was a convert from Quincy. The shop shows guns made by both father and son. The missionary who gave the tour pretended to be John Browning. John Browning (the son) gave the U.S. government his patents for automatic weapons. The father patented the repeating rifle, and other pistol and rifle actions.
